Over the past decade, the electronics, computer, and components industry has emerged as one of the most important pillars of Vietnam’s economy, playing a leading role in exports, attracting investment, and participating deeply in the global value chain. According to data from the General Statistics Office (Ministry of Finance), in just the first nine months of 2025, the export turnover of electronics, computers, and components reached over USD 77 billion, and it is projected to exceed USD 100 billion for the entire year, ranking first among the country’s key export categories. Conversely, imports in this sector also surpassed USD 110 billion, reaching an all-time high.
Between 2016 and 2024, the export and import turnover of electronics, computers, and components increased more than threefold, with an average annual growth rate of 18.6%, nearly double the overall growth rate of the country’s total trade. A key driver behind this rapid growth has been the large-scale FDI inflows from leading global electronics corporations such as Samsung, LG, Intel, Foxconn, Canon, and Goertek, positioning Vietnam as a major electronics manufacturing and assembly hub in Southeast Asia. At the same time, domestic enterprises such as Viettel, Bkav, FPT, and Vingroup have gradually entered the design and production of smart devices and high-tech components, contributing to higher localization rates and stronger supporting industries.
These figures clearly reflect the rapid expansion of Vietnam’s electronics sector, while also highlighting the significant demand for components, raw materials, and manufacturing equipment—most of which still heavily rely on foreign supply sources.

In the context of Vietnam promoting its national strategy for the development of the electronics and semiconductor industry through 2030, with a vision toward 2050, alongside major directions in AI, low-altitude economy, optoelectronics, digital technology devices, and electric vehicles, ensuring a plentiful, stable, and high-quality supply of components, raw materials, and electronic manufacturing equipment has become more critical than ever.
Against this backdrop, organizing an International Exhibition on Components, Raw Materials, and Electronic Manufacturing Equipment in Vietnam not only meets the market’s and enterprises’ demand for supply–demand connectivity, but also serves as a strategic solution to promote the development of supporting industries, attract high-tech investment, and enhance Vietnam’s position in the global electronics value chain. The CMES Vietnam 2026 International Exhibition on Components, Raw Materials, and Electronic Manufacturing Equipment is a large-scale industry event that opens up numerous practical opportunities for the Vietnamese business community.
